Shots Fired!

So Dave2D, one of the best laptop/tech reviewers on YouTube, just released a scathing video on the state of Apple hardware. Mainly their Laptop/Desktop options. He covers points everywhere from their completely outdated Intel 7th Gen chips in their Pro laptops, to the odd bundles like ECC Ram in the iMac Pro models, to the terrible repair policy that’s been plaguing Apple for years. I decided to respond to this video, not to defend Apple, but rather, support some of his arguments, while also being critical of his comments as well.

As a reviewer who receives the latest and greatest hardware all the time, it’s easy to forget how incapable most Window’s laptops are. He also skips over the extremely priced Windows options, that resemble the Mac on design, but includes the highly specced hardware he wants, like the $3000 Razer Blade 15 2018. Not too mention, he forgets to compare Premiere against Final Cut, which in my opinion is the most optimized video editor available. And he must compare the two because of how Premiere is an optimization issue, rather than an Apple issue. As we can see with Final Cut Pro X, Apple Hardware is perfectly capable at high end video editing, so long the software is optimized.
